KCAC was established in 2021 as a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization based in New York, with the goal of strengthening the capacity and well-being of the Korean-Chinese community in the United States. The Association was founded by a group of Korean-Chinese community members who came together with one heart and one purpose. Although we had little prior experience in community service, we began with a strong passion and commitment to serving our community and building a better future for the next generation.

 

KCAC  works in partnership with nonprofit organizations that have years of experience serving the Korean community in the United States, including the Korean American Civic Empowerment, Korean Community Service Center, and MinKwon Center for Community Action. Through these partnerships, we provide free consultations and assistance to community members who need support, including immigration legal services, New York State health insurance enrollment and assistance, and nonpartisan voter registration and civic participation services. As immigrants ourselves, our mission is to help our community members become confident and respected citizens in American society, build a stronger and more welcoming community where everyone can live with dignity, and lay a solid foundation for the next generation. We hope that our children and youth will grow up without discrimination, receive equal opportunities and treatment in American society, and ultimately develop into proud and respected leaders of the future.

 

KCAC  is committed to building trust, earning respect, and serving as a reliable organization for the Korean-Chinese community. We will continue to do our very best to strengthen our community, connect people with opportunities and resources, and create a brighter future together.
