1월 31일(금요일), 민권센터가 주최한 APAVOICE 연례 회의가 개최되었으며, 약 20개 단체가 참석해 아시아태평양계 및 한인 커뮤니티의 정치력 강화 방안을 논의했습니다. 회의에서는 2024년 활동을 돌아보고, 2025년 뉴욕시 주요 선거를 앞두고 아태계 유권자 참여 확대와 순위선택투표제에 대한 유권자 교육을 강화하기로 뜻을 모았습니다.

On Friday, January 31, the MinKwon Center for Community Action hosted the APAVOICE Annual Meeting, bringing together representatives from approximately 20 organizations to discuss strengthening political power within the Asian Pacific American and Korean American communities. Participants reviewed 2024 efforts and agreed to focus on increasing voter participation and voter education, particularly around ranked-choice voting, ahead of New York City’s 2025 elections.
